About Myself

I've seen the long wait times, the difficulty in getting time off to drop a bike in for servicing, and the non-constructive attitudes from bike shop staff.

I decided to start up my own dedicated business to offer faster turn around times, better quality repairs, and a helpful, can-do attitude. I don't sell bikes which means I can offer completely unbiased advice.

As a qualified mechanic with years of experience building, servicing and repairing bikes for riders up to the highest level, I know how important it is to get the job done right, first time.

You can view our current workshop lead times here. By all means call us if you have an urgent repair, and we'll try to help you out.

I will come to you, assess the bike and either repair on-site or, if necessary , take the bike back to my secure workshop for a more in-depth service there. This will be arranged at your convenience, at a time of your choosing, even out of normal shop hours. An estimate is always given. Occasionally, further issues come to light during the project, however, you will always be informed before extra work is carried out..

I've been working in the bike industry for twenty five years. I started as a junior mechanic and achieved my goal of becoming a professional team mechanic. I worked for numerous high profile teams and riders at the very top of the field.

I started my own business, Mobile Bike Repairs, to use all my years of experience to provide a truly excellent service for customers.

I try to ride every day, on both mountain bikes and road bikes...but I avoid the tri bike now that there's too little time for proper training. I currently own a Lapierre Spicy 916 custom mountain bike, a Litespeed carbon road bike and a fleet of hire bikes for my other business - Churnet Valley Cycle Hire .
